I do hope that you thoroughly enjoyed and managed some quality down time over the Christmas and New Year period. As the new year gets underway I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere thanks to those of you that support and subscribe to TPD Zone and announce what TPD Zone customers can look forward to in 2025.

Firstly to report that whilst ostensibly nothing much has changed, from a TPD Zone perspective in 2024, other than the addition of a small number of tracks, there has been a some significant work undertaken, behind the scenes, to improve the effectiveness and robustness of the GPS data.

And many thanks to Peter (Webb) and his Bet Angel Team for their continued support and collaboration in embracing the GPS data. Further evidenced by Bet Angel now incorporating the recent innovation, Data Warnings and Transponder Error messages, which are issued direct from the track and to which Bet Angel users can immediately respond to such, including via automation activating / triggering the appropriate response.

In what could be viewed as a slight shift away from the core focus of TPD Zone, i.e. delivering live GPS data from the racetrack, I must tell you about our Performance Metrics offering which is a very recent development.

A set of metrics, including Top speed, Run out speed (speed at the line), Stride Length, Stride Frequency, Time to Reach (30 mph flat or 25 mph jumps), and a number of other datasets have been assimilated for every horse running on any UK track (both ARK and RMG tracks) over the previous 2 years.

This data will ultimately be made available, via a subscription website and API, and which will be of interest to those of us who enjoy interrogating data and / or using form analysis to either support an in-running trading / betting hypothesis or to develop a stand-a-lone backing or laying system.

Finally and probably the most exciting and eagerly awaited news for some considerable time; TPD have now secured the commercial rights to use live GPS data from ALL UK RMG tracks. This obviously includes the Jockey Club races at Cheltenham, Aintree, Newmarket, Epsom and the action from York and Goodwood too. It will take my Team a little while to make the appropriate infrastructure changes, however I fully expect the RMG GPS data to be accessible to all TPD Zone subscribers before the end of Q1 2025.

I wish you every success in 2025 and beyond.
